Split Airport?
I have one side of my airport dedicated to small aircraft and would like to add medium gates and infrastructure to the other side of it. Will airport vehicles travel across public roads from one side to the other, or do I need a separate vehicle depot for the other set of service roads? Or do I need to connect the other side with the current service road system? Also, since I'm planning on doing a separate runway for medium aircraft do I need anoher control tower for it?

You will need to have a service road that airport vehicles can use. You don't need a separate vehicle depot but watch out for the time it takes to get from vehicle depot to destination and if too long you could set up a separate vehicle depot to cover the other side of your airport.

In my airport, fuel/baggage trucks use a public road to travel from one side to the other. You don't need to use a service road for this... as long as there is a service road on each end. I do have depots on both sides.

I was looking at doing this myself in my current build. My question would be about staffing. Does the AI handle it ok when having two terminals?

It does a decent job. You get a few weird things happening. Just have a side walk so people can walk between both. That should fix most of the issues you will come across

I had one big baggage system supporting both terminals and couldn’t get it to work right. I’m wondering if I need two separate ones?
