Go to Options > Input > Change bindings.

Select the jump binding on the right hand side then press LT.

when I do that, it makes an error buzz and goes back to spacebar
Can confirm - it doesn't work in current version for me too.
Ah, I had disabled re-binding of controllers as it was causing issues. I'll have another shot at getting it working properly for you.

If you ever release this game on Linux I offer to do superb KB&M based bindings for Steam Controller.
Of course it supports all OS platforms.

Fast paced game needs fast Controller controls.

edit... it seems that Linux support is possible. Good.
My fingers are itching :)

Steam Controller.

There is already a Steam Controller profile set up for the game, it should be the default one that users are set up with when starting the game :).

The profile is set up to be a hybrid of controller and keyboard+mouse, with fine-tune gyro. The aiming speed is set to be pretty responsive, so you can do fast turns. (based on the in-game sensitivity being set to default).
Swap weapon is bound to shoulder buttons, dpad, and clicking the pads in, so it's up to your preference which you'd like to use. I personally found clicking the pads to be good, as then i didn't have to move my hand around on the controller whilst playing.

Yeah, you should mention that right now it's broken in the same way as xbox controllers, since Steam Controller's stick relies on analog input all the same.

I hope gamepads won't be forgotten in the next patch. :3

By broken, do you mean that you can't play the game using an xbox controller at all? Is the issue you're having that you can't look/move using a controller at the moment? Or something along those lines?
