Doe sthe grapple hook work like Dying Light or Titanfall 2? (drag to object or proper momentum based swinging using airstrafing to accelerate)

You aim grapple hook and shoot it and it connects and pulls you to the object you hooked; you can then jump mid grapple to gain momentum and if you grapple again midair you can increase that momentum, you also get a brief glide mechanic early into the game in addition to grappling hook

Both The Story About My Uncle and Valley are better games than this one. It has a lot of optimization issues (27 fps on a 1080 Ti in 2K rez at times running on Unity Engine) and really lacks a soul. If the music track was ramped up and the story/npcs had a lot more heart to it then it would make for a better game. I finished it but I didn't really feel moved at all like I did when playing TSAMU and Valley. It's just not there.

For me it seems like A Story About My Uncle with more polished gameplay but overly simplified plot. If you liked the gameplay mechanics you're going to like the game as well. The graphics are nicer but the views aren't nearly as beautiful. Because of it I find ASAMU more appealing visually. If you really liked story in ASAMU then you will probably be dissapointed.

I would say The Free Ones is pretty close to A Story About My Uncle in terms of gameplay but has a little more fleshed out of a story. If you enjoyed A Story About My Uncle you should enjoy this. There is a demo now if you wanted to try it out.

Very similar games. I liked the aesthetic in ASAMU more, and I thought the gameplay was less clunky but, if you enjoyed that, you should enjoy this.
