I'm not sure why "DX Setup Parameters: Not Found"
Two of the crashes seemed to be from an app that decided to launch a taskbar message out of nowhere that somehow caused MTaP to just give up and crash. Those were two real world days days prior me getting to the Land Run event day in-game. I didn't find any apps causing disruptions when it glitched up on Land Run day. I also didn't have an issue after on restarting, aside from slight stutter when attacking a group of Mr. Ladybug.
Thanks for posting that for us.
Have you done the update for your drivers?
Has this made any difference for you?
Are you still having the issue occur?
Get back to us when you can.
Regards,
Team17 Support.
Drivers were updated.
I also had an issue that wasn't seemingly linked to game that I discovered by going into Task Manager and reviewing processes.
From somewhere, "pximouse.exe" which is supposed to be an optical mouse driver got installed. Looking it up, people are suspicious of the company. I deleted a file in its folder and disabled it on "start up" processes.
I also had a windows service bugging out that I needed to track down how to stop and restart (the method that was described in help topics as to fix it if it was bugging out).
My CPU isn't being as taxed and is back to idling correctly now that those two things are resolved.
As for the combat, I'm still seeing a slight ruggedness when the character makes the slashing leap at enemies. Considering that my CPU was having about 30% use just from that rouge service, and was likely going on under MTaP, but no other games I play experienced issues, I'm leaning towards that there is something bloated about the process in MTaP when the attacks are launched that spikes CPU usage and causes a bottleneck that can cause the freeze up.
I also had been on toned down settings when the combat freeze up glitch happened, but off hand I don't know what they are.
As I'm not the only one who had this issue, looking at other posts, curious I am on what the trending root cause is going to turn out to be.
Game needs a better save system. Only autosaving when you sleep means if something like this happens you lose a whole day of progress. Not fun.
