Bug: An Interview of Gale - Picture of Gale

I know a lot of people have had issues taking photos of the Dee-Dee Stop or the Street Light, but in my case I cannot get a photo of Gale at all.

If I am anywhere near Gale and no other NPCs are around, my character will immediately enter group photo mode with Gale even if I am not talking to him at the time. I did manage to glitch the game a little once when in Gale's office, causing Ginger to appear in group photo mode with my character. This left Gale free for photos, but it still wouldn't give credit.

Hitting "z" while in this group photo mode will remove both Gale and my character from the screen.

If I wait until moments where scripting prevents such interactions, such as during Fireside Meetings, taking photos does not give me credit.

In both cases, I cannot get the quest object highlight reticle to appear during photo mode.

Zoom and camera angle seems to have zero effect on this issue.

There does not seem to be a way to ditch the quest and start over, so essentially I am completely stuck on this portion of the quest line.

Update:

After going through more than 2 months in game trying to get a picture him, I finally found a place that appears to be non-scripted enough to work around this bug.

If you go find Gale in the Church on a Sunday, taking a picture in there will bypass the `auto group selfie` bug. I'm guessing this is because he (and everyone else in there) is force scripted into the sitting position for the duration of the sermon. It didn't dawn on me to try here until much later, as for me Sundays were usually reserved for inspections, production, dates, and gathering. When I did see Gale, it was always after Church was over.

Also, since it isn't a scripted event like the Fireside Chat, I'm guessing that's what allowed quest trigger for the picture to become active.

Thank you for reporting this issue.

Can you please perform the below steps so that you Steam client can repair any corrupted files in the game folder?

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
6. Please attempt to run the game, reload a day with the issue and see if it's resolved

Please get back to us, if you still can't take the photo after taking the steps.

This is not in any way corrupted files and you know that.There are multiple boards up having to do with camera missions and it is always either they are screwed or they have to work around this hopefully.There are a ton of quest bugs in this game and im getting to the point of wtf is going on here.
