Mission: The Sharks in the Sky GAME-BREAKING BUG

Description of event

So as im playing the quest and have just fought one of the two bosses/mini bosses Ryder/Ursula in the dungeon i get the update for the quest and it says move on. so i move on to the next room and press what i believe is an elevator button of sorts but all that happens is that the door i came from locks and if i look at the map im moving away from where i stood and my character goes outside of the map area. now to clarify i'm still in the room where i pressed the "elevator" button but my character pointer on the map is moving away and even outside the map.

What i have tryed to do to fix the problem

1: i tryed to reload and do the mission from the start.
2: Tryed to wait several in game days before doing the mission again.
3: Restart the game.
4: When asked to go right or left i usually go right (to fight Ursula) this time i tried to go left (to fight Ryder) to see if the bug was only on one side of the map.

PS: i saw that there was a thread on this but from what i understand he/she didn't follow the guide lines of what to do when Reporting a bug i believe i have done so.

Thank you for reporting this problem.

Can you please follow the below steps to make sure you're running the current build of the game?

1. Load Steam
2. From the Library section, right-click on the game and select Properties from the menu.
3. Select the Local files tab and click the Verify integrity of game cache... button.
4. Steam will verify the game's files - this process may take several minutes.
5. Once the process is completed, the Check Window will automatically exit.
6. Please attempt to run the game and see if the issue is resolved

If the steps don't work, then can you please send us a few screenshots or a link to your gameplay with the issue?

I'm having the same issue. I did what they did to try and fix and what you suggested but I'm still locked in the room and floating outside the map.

you still float outside the map cuz the room is moving i guess but if the door opens the second you get out you should be able to see a new map

I'm stuck on the elevator platform during the "the sparks in the sky mission" I press the button, but the door will not open. I've gone both left and right. I've uninstalled and reinstalled the game, turned the laptop off and back on, and lowered the game graphics. I need help to progress in the game.
