Mouse Cursor Disappearance Cause

So I found out what makes the mouse cursor disappear occasionally. Or at least one of the causes. Basically anything that tells the mouse cursor to stop rendering won't tell it to start rending again if the mouse button isn't released in that menu. Pressing Escape to back out of the map menu while holding down the left mouse button will cause the cursor to not render in any other menu.
Solution: Have each menu opening check if the mouse cursor is in a state that tells it not to render and fix the problem if it exists.

Mouse Cursor keeps disappearing

I don't know if it's only me, but sometimes when i go to my inventory my mouse cursor disappears till i restart the game. I can't find out what's causing this problem and i don't see any similarities that could be causing this.

Does this happen in a particular location, such as the Workshop or Ruins?
Have you completed any actions or in the middle of completing any actions when this happens?
Are you playing in Windowed or Fullscreen mode? Are you using dual monitors and are you regularly alt-tabbing in and out of the game?

Can you please verify your game files and see if that helps you?

i'm playing in fullscreen, using only 1 monitor and alt-tab somewhat often out of the game.
I verifiyed my game and since then even with tabbing and doing some stuff in game, i haven't gotten the problem anymore.

I guess it's gone. Tya for your fast answer.

i had that too, I use control alt delete . then it reappears for me. plus I cleaned my cache . only probale now is the running lag slow effects.

Mouse pointer keeps disappearing.

I have had to reset my game 3 times today because the pointer keeps going invisible. This makes it very hard to select anything in the game, Please Fix!!!!!

Does the mouse cursor disappear after leaving a menu or stats screen or do you have the cursor in the game while play?

as you should not have the cursor on while you are in the game and exploring Portia.

Sorry the mouse cursor disappears when i open my invientory, hit escape, and go to the main menu. I have to guess where the mouse is by moving it around until it is over an item and i get the borader that menas i can select it. It seems to happen when i leave cutscenes or i go through dialog fast. I then have to reset the game to get the pointer to show up again.

I don't alt-tab much, updated my drivers in case anything there was causing the issue, and the only way I've found to fix it is by restarting the game - which is frustrating for obvious reasons.

Anyone have this problem/suggestions for a fix?

For the record - This issue started happening to me as soon as I installed an Nvidia card into my system. I had an AMD RX 580 for the last 6 months and never had it happen, but this morning I installed an RX 2070 and the issue is plaguing me!

Also there could be an option between software and hardware cursor.

I have had this happen twice to me. It's frustrating because of how the save system works if it happens mid-day I feel compelled to finish out the day gimped and struggling to do minor tasks in order to not just simply waste the day away to save and then exit.

Bug

In game options menu, if you hit the esc key, which brings up a sub-menu for the game and then back out of that, you lose the mouse.

Also, hitting esc from the sub menu should back out of that and return you to the previous menu. Shouldn't have to click. just a common design that is not common in this menu.

Addition:
So as I'm going through the various game menus, I find a lot of wierd behavior in the menus and I keep losing the mouse. Basically anytime I hit esc the mouse vanishes.

I hope the game isn't as buggy as these menus are.
