The Farmer Quest Bug

I’ve encountered a bug where I was crafting the 3 planter boxes for Emily during the farmer quest. I had the 3 boxes when I talked to her during the watermelon cutscene. She took the boxes and an empty prompt showed up but the quest wasn’t completed.

As a result I had to craft the planter boxes again but now she cannot complete the quest and just keeps asking me about the planters.

i believe this happened with me, i think it was because she gives you boxes to start and if you try giving her those to complete the quest, it won't close the quest out. I had to re-load the day or maybe 2, and craft the boxes and only have those in my inventory to give her. lmk if this helps, it's been a while since doing this one and i may be missing something. good luck

oh just remember, the items to give her cannot be in your hotbar, must be in inventory

The watermelon thing never led to any thing for me. 3 play-throughs, 3 characters. Emily invites me up to pick melons - no melons anywhere, no further mention of the mission/quest.

The whole thing just seems to fizzle out. (this is after completing the farmer mission(s) up to giving Emily the 3 planters and getting a completion of sorts.)

Can you both try verifying your game files and then get back in the game and see if this is resolved.
