I looked all in input, visual, audio, gameplay tabs.. nothing :/ I can provide screenshots if need be. I've also tried 2 diff controllers. Xbox Wireless and a Steelseries bluetooth that i've used with my android. Both not giving the options in the game. Both work in other games.
I see it says that on the forum but nothing on the options page at all. I can provide screenshots if needed
It should be XBox style inputs, most PC controlers are this, but you may have to flip a switch somewhere. Xbox 360 and XBOne controllers work.
You cannot be activly using the keyboard as that will automaticaly switch back to Keyboard/Mouse mode, cursor will be on screen. You can switch back by my activating the controler again.
If this does not work for you, verify the controller actually works on your computer by testing other games, or working with the windows builtin tools.
i have the same Problem with a XBox One Controller. It*s the original from MS. The controller works fine in other games and in Windows (the Testprogramm). I'm using Windows 7 and no chance of using the controller ingame, And i tried with pressing buttons and moving sticks instead of the mouse after launching the game.
Any additional hints?
We are sorry to hear you are having issues with the controllers. So far we have support for the Xbox 360/One and PS4 controller. Can you see if the controllers are working with a wired connection?
Are any of you using a third party program to remap the buttons? Can you please not use that program and see if the game works without remapping the buttons.
Please get back to us when you can.
Thanks,

Thank you DadsGamingInc,
Can you please perform a clean boot of your PC: https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/help/929135/how-to-perform-a-clean-boot-in-windows.
Once the PC starts up, load steam and plug in your contoller.
Start the game,
You should be able to use your 360 controller to play My Time At Portia.
Get back to us if the issue continues.
Thanks,
Team17 Support
I had the same problem, what worked for me was I used the keyboard/mouse and selected options, when I was there I selected the input tab and then once there I pushed the left stick on the controller and the input view changed from Keyboard/Mouse to Controller. From then on the Controller worked just fine.
I have noticed a few things the controller can't do that the keyboard can. First one being when you're looking at your inventory there's no way to remove items. If you hit the keyboard it gives you an option to abandon the item, but not with the controller.
