Can't Light Fireworks

Hi, I've tried on 4 different occasions to workout the fireworks--the first time was a play date with Arlo and I tried to use the screen to set up fireworks, but there was no way to place them down. None of the buttons worked.

Now I'm on the mission where Dr. Xu arranges fireworks and I'm having the same issue--I've repeated the day I think 3 times, but can't figure out why once I'm in that screen I can't set the fireworks down. I have them in my inventory. From evidence watching play thru of others I seem to be understanding how they're supposed to be laid out and set off--but I can never get that far.

I don't know if some specific problem with my computer? Am I missing something obvious? The problem is consistent whenever I've accessed the fireworks game.

May I ask if you're playing with mouse and keyboard or a controller?

If it's mouse and keyboard then you should place fireworks on the sand with LMB, choose another color with the wheel and fire with E.

If it doesn't work for you, then please go to your Game Options > Input settings and press the 'Reset' button.
