The comprehensive cutter/grinder skips the smelting step. For carbon steel it is WAY faster.
Thank you for letting me know.. now I'll be replacing and making about 10 Industrial Furnaces for now. ^_^
More more more, fill up everything, you'll have plenty of resources later to get those furnaces/cutters/etc going all the time, and making money. Furnaces to make glass out of all the sand, furnaces to make all your ingots, etc etc. I use a little bit of blenders, grinders, etc but most of my stuff are furnaces and cutters to blow through all the ingots/glass/wood/stone/etc that i gather up, and later the wood and mining farms that supply me. I think i currently have about 60 industrial furnaces pumping out every hour of the day, and no more simply because i don't have any more room really between the machines and the plant/tree growing area.
