Game Keeps Crashing

Hi All,

I have a gaming computer and have purchased this game through the sale. The crashing is constant, I can't even get through a day in the game without it crashing. It is so frustrating. I have tried so many different things and nothing is working. I tried turning the graphics all the way down to poor, I have uninstalled and reinstalled, I have verified the game on steam, I have messed with my nvidia settings to try and get it to work and it keeps crashing. My computer can run tomb raider, why is this crashing so bad? Please help!

Hi Spooky, There are a number of posts raising this issue (including mine, "what fun??") rather than me copy the suggestions I received here have a look through the posts, hope one works for you.

It seems plenty of people have this problem. What worked for me was to close any other programs, like anti-virus or the browser. No in-game crashes since, only rare ones on start-up. For another guy turning off WiFi reduced crashes greatly, but didn't eliminate them. For whatever reason. Sadly, the devs are off to greener pastures, it seems.

Odd. I have crashes on the Switch version, but haven't crashed a single time on the PC version.
You probably already did this, but like all my issues with games crashing recently were solved by updating graphics drivers. Also, turning off Nvidia highlights will probably help.

I received this as a gift, so I haven't actually played it yet, BUT...

if it crashes my Nvidia the way other Unity games do, I start the game, go into Task Manager->Details, Right Click the exe and set Affinity to only 0 and 1 checked.

Please don't ask me how or why it works. I have no idea. Was just told that by a smart geek friend.
