The chainsaw is somewhat bad until you maxed your skill points.
I see, so the drill should be better used for relic hunting and the pickaxe for materials, right?. And the chainsaw, well atm Im still with the iron axe and I did not see any new tree, maybe is useful at the end game.
Thank you :)
Pickaxes have smaller area and eventually become more efficient at maximizing ore.
Yep, drill is good for relic hunting, it does smash huge holes at a fast pace but also drain the stamina equally fast. That's why it's not recommended unless you go there with huge chunks of stamina restoration food (200~400 food items for a full ruin sweep).
The chainsaw like I said is somewhat bad. They're not faster than an axe since they have a dumb pause in their animation loop, so you'll cut down trees only slightly faster than the best axe. If you maximize your attack and put skill points on the drill/chainsaw multiplier, you'll get somewhat faster at cutting down trees, but still not fast enough to justify the huge stamina consumption. The fisherman axe will serve you well, since it can cut any tree and is only marginally slower than a chainsaw.
