As far as i know, there's only one character that leaves when married and that's Aadit. I don't think Sonia leaves, unless future plans are incoming.
No she doesn't die yet, but in the game files there's something about that, however it's not implemented as far as i know. As for Sonia, i don't think she'd leave with someone millionare because the only "rich" NPC that appears has no interactions or friends in Portia, however i don't think she'd find someone richier than the builder :)

That is not enough for some girls. Hate to admit it but some of us are gold diggers and only in it for the money. Once the money and shopping, etc is gone so are they on to the next guy.
