So... What does the Unknown Recipe do?
Description reads as follows
A sloppy handwritten note of some dish recipe. Maybe Django will know what it is.

There's no way to give the "book" to him, though, as far as I've seen. Gifting is just a normal gift and if I inquire about recipes he just gives me his usual shtick with 2 - 3 recipes.

Unless I'm missing something? Am I missing something? I started a new character since Hotfix 2 so maybe I can't exchange them yet. Or is this a case of an item existing for which nothing has been implemented yet?

its an item that exsists but has not been implimented
So why would they put something in if it does nothing other than to confuse the player?
There ARE other unimplemented items in the game, btw. This has been the case since early access. Generally, useless things get uses added, or the items are later taken out if they get scrapped.

To anyone reading this thread in the not-too-near future: the wiki should update as soon as we notice or hear about the Unknown Recipe getting an implemented use, so check this page for up-to-date information:

Time constraints, human error, laziness, etc. Take your pick.

Bethesda has plenty of useless items they forgot to remove from their games too. Stuff happens.

One of the things I wish had happen with Django was the removal of recipes he's already told you.

I know there's several ways to make the same recipe but seems to me he knows only one way. I'm a bit tired to buy a meat recipe and have it be the roasted beef again. Considering the huge menu he has in the round table you think he teach you other ones.

Like what to use all that snake meat, I have in storage.

Still doesn't do s***

So weird that it does nothing even though you're kind of directed to interact with Django for it.

They could have at least allowed you to sell them at a vendor....

YEARS after this thread died, it does nothing. Put it on display. Abandon it. Whatever. A lot of games have that "one" item that does absolutely nothing but at least the devs came forward and said it doesn't do anything.

At least it's not a certain dark souls starter item.
