And you can also avoid that relationship hit if you just never read the letter they send, too.
There's another gun in the game that can make them send the letter, too.
But you only get the letter once, even if you use both guns.
I didn't even make the gun for my own use. I thought it would make a nice birthday present for Sam. (who loved it, btw.) In retrospect it was probably good I didn't give Arlo one. Would have made things very awkward between him and Nora...

If the church hates guns, can we have bows? I mean, even old timey medieval warbows had insane draw weights of up to 150lbs. They can tell who was a bowman by the changes in their skeletal structure warbows were so powerful.
To put things in perspective, I have a 35lbs and a crossbow with a draw weight of 175lbs. The crossbow would penetrate straight through a flesh & bone target. However a hand bow is drawn back further, meaning more power is put into the arrow; which means that medieval warbows would out even more energy into an arrow than a modern (medium draw weight) crossbow.
Needless to say, I treat bows like I will a firearm, they can be just as dangerous.
Bows can do lots of damage when handled correctly. I think 50lbs (for a hand bow, 150 for a crossbow; due to the draw distance) is the (minimal) draw weight you should be using if you want to hunt large (deer, etc) game and get one shot kills where the arrow will go straight through the game animal.
Bow & Arrows Church Update/DLC?
Love to see Bows be a crafting item though. Basic Bow, Heavy bow and then Crossbow. Gives you something to need feathers for aside from dusters for making the arrows. Crossbows could use metal bolts as an upgrade as well. Metal tips anyway.
A lot of possibility. Shame ranged weapons in the game are fecal matter ATM. They shouldn't be. Make them expensive but make them viable so more people will enjoy the dungeon runs. As it is now they aren't really worth it no matter what Lee and Nora wanna think about them.
The Rep hit is minimal BTW. A couple chats and a decent gift and it's like it never happened...
Cheers..!
Seriously, even though wasn't a big hit on the relationship, was pretty lame!
Also nice 5month old necro :P
