Currently, there are 7 Hulu Brothers. That's probably the final number. The developers are Chinese, so it is likely that they're inspired by the Calabash Brothers.

but Song Jiang has 36 companions and compared to snow white, they are 7, they are dwarf-like and they have the same name-endings (and it's a fairy tale and they seem to like german fairy tales, timbered houses and european style castles and all this) ^^
