They should just implement the usual penalty from Harvest Moon games.
So either you sleep extra long and only awake around 2 PM, losing a lot of time OR
it halves your Stamina for the next day.
I like this game because it does not have one.
I love the animation of us "passing out", makes me giggle every single time
Do not wish this game to be like "the other games"
There is a reason why I play Portia and not one of those "other games". :)
Whether or not there's a penalty is up to the devs. Personally, I like it as an in-universe explanation for why you can pass out in the middle of nowhere and wake up in bed. I just posted this because I wanted to make sure it wasn't something non-obvious.
Charging money is always a thing... can be okay, most often it's to expensive until mid-game. I pass out really often - not by choice, but because I'm not someone who runs around sprinting all the time to get things done and the days are always too short in my opinion. It would be great if the timeflow ingame would be a little slower.
In my headcanon it's the civil corps that haul my passed out body from who-knows-where to my bed. It would match very well because they walked around the whole area to keep the people (and stubborn me) safe. That they charge money for doing their "job".. hm..dunno. Maybe challenge you to a spar after they found you x-times passed out again.
To loose even more time by making sure I get home in time, does not appeal to me.
Nice Zeda, thanks for answering.
There should be at least SOME sort of penalty, no matter how minor. Maybe start the next day with half stamina or something.
One time I fell asleep right on top of a poop! Darn, wish I could have taken a picture of that!
There was obviously intent for some sort of penalty and indeed the game makes no sense w/o one.
