Are cloths not craftable now?

I saw a few videos crafting their own Cloths with a level 1 worktable, but I don't see any on my own, then I found a forum that it's not only me that's experiencing it. Can we only get cloths from the store now?

You can craft Cloths using the worktable, however, it is not possible now, idk why.

Cloth, plural cloths - piece(s) of fabric
Clothes, plural - Stuff you wear on your body

Which one are we talking about here? I sound like a Richard, but sometimes this is necessary.

Exactly! Cloths can me crafted using the Basic Skiver, as I said. Clothes can be crafted using the worktable, although only two are available right now.

Yeah the hoodie and the scarfs, but I'm sure the player can't wear them though can they? Thought it was just for the "Warm Clothes" and "Furry Scarfs" commisions.

Oh, hadn't noticed that, but then I still wander around in my level 40 Adventurer Outfit. :-)

The ones I mentioned are early game, low level clothes. They can be upgraded now, but it's about appearances.

In regard to this discussion what needs to be clarified is the cloths/clothes confusion. I don’t remember if cloths could at one time be crafted using the worktable. I know they can using the Basic Skiver, and if they could using the worktable, that’s the reason they can’t anymore.

Also in the regards on the "work clothes", I don't see them on the worktable nor in the Basic Skiver.

You are right. I have two files. On my original file I can and have crafted work clothes on the work table. I started a new file just over 2 weeks ago (before the update) and noticed that the option to craft work clothes on the work table is not available - the work clothes do not show at all.

The work clothes have been taken out of the crafting table and added to the shop now, so you have to go there from the start to get your clothes. Pretty sure it's not a bug, but intended, since making clothes is established in the quest to unlock the enhancing of old clothes as something needing quite intricate tools that cannot be easily replicated.

Thats a good point, Petra does say when you build the sewing machine for Carol to not lose the needle part as there is no way they can make another one. So yeah, it could very well be intentional. (Doesn't exlplain why you get awarded Sewing Machines from Inspections though, thats a bit of a contradiction. lol)

As for inspections, pretty sure those need looking over anyways...along with many other things. Probably going to see a change to that when they check on overall balancing in a month or so.

Oh gotcha, thanks for this, have no idea on the quest yet tho.
