Wild Cocoon
Hey everyone, I am trying to collect some wild cocoon but I can kick trees all day long without getting any. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

are you kicking the right trees? It should be the tree type that is also growing around your workshop and they should also drop the green fruits (gummy fruits?) you need to make tires.
If kicking them does not work try chopping them down they should drop 2-3 cocoons every tree.

Yeah I am kicking the trees right next to my workshop and I get a lot of the green fruits but no cocoon. As I don't have a better axe I can't chop these big trees. Smaller trees are not giving me cocoon either when chopping them.

maybe they changed the drop rate for kicking them as i haven't done it for the latest few updates.
The smaller trees will not give them, that is normal.
I definitly would advise you to upgrade your axe then, go into the mine for one day (80gol) and get as many materials as you can just a bit of mettal should be enough for upgrading the axe if i remember right. Then turn the the stones into stone stoles via your craftbank (1 stone = 1 gol but 10 stones make 1 stone stool which can be sold for 13 gol), then sell al the stoles and get an upgrade kit. (general store next to the clothing store)

Did you try the river side tree? I think it's more easy to get cocoon in there

I noticed with the latest update a change in this item dropping, in the past it did indeed drop from the rubber trees as well, but now they only drop if I kick the biggest trees, which also drop the honey.

I just now got 4 in a row from the tree right next to the workshop that also dropped gummy fruits. It was the big tree that had a more branching look rather than a straight one.

Thanks guys. The old branchy trees were dropping the cocoon ;-) I think this has to be mentioned in the 'go and kick trees' note.

well remember the demo you are playing is version 2.1 which does indeed still drop those from the rubber trees ;)

You need to kick the Biggest tree(that have two trunks) on the right side of town entrance door after nightime
i've got 2 wild cocoons(at between 22.00pm) but that's enough for my quest

sorry for my English, I'm not good at English :steamsad:

At present straight/tall trees give rubber fruit, old/twisted trees give cocoons and honeycomb, trees with apples give them and white trees are supposed to give cinnamon. Each tree gives six drops per day, though I think the cinnamon trees have to be felled meaning one large drop each growth cycle for those.

Yes, indeed, the biggest trees by the riverside drop cocoons. And honey.

Nice necro as this topic was from a year ago when they did change the droptables of the tree kicks ;)
