1. Repair the broken floor in the house as soon as possible, else your stamnia will not recover fully at night.

2. Put your builder's license on a wall once you got it - furniture gives you nice stat boosts and the license raises the maximum stamnia by awesome +20.

3. On the left side of the townsgate somewhere along the wall, hidden behind rocks there is a treasure chest with some starting money - use this to get into the abandoned ruin for mining.

4. Build at least 2 furnaces at the start better are 3. You will need a lot of copper ignots - copper is best found in the abandoned ruin. Then keep building basic machines for your workshop, you will need at least a grinder, a cutter and a skiver (in this order) to get all the parts together you need.

5. Don't take the job with the 4 'shell neclaces' at the commerce guild - it is too difficult at the start.

6. Take your time building the bridge to amber island - best have everything ready at hand for making a dee-dee transport (or five) before you complete the bridge

7. Befriend Mayor Gale (he likes 'salmon special rice', 'teatable' or 'red tea' as presents) buying new land will be a lot cheaper then.

8. Take data discs you find to the research center to unlock new blueprints for machines

9. If you run out of stamnia early in the day you can go to the restaurant (Round Table) and eat dinner to get some stamnia back - costs money though. You can also sit down on a bench in the city and wait a while for stamnia slowly to recover. Eating some Royal Honey (kick from twintrunk-trees) or eating some dried apple slices (there are some in treasure chests in town) will recover some stamnia too.

10. If you are completely out of stamnia go treasure chest hunting in town or chatting with the townsfolk.

11. Check the map regularly for '!' or '?' marks - people may have jobs for you - some of those jobs can easily be missed.

Hi there,

I have to chime in here with some great information, from worstcase11, even though it's not on list above!

Maybe I should add:

12. Don't forget to apply your skillpoints in the character menu after leveling up - recommended for the start are extra experience points and stamnia boost.

13. Don't skip the tutorial on the relic scanner in the mines (but to be on the safe side: use F-key to activate it. move the grey bullseye over a glowing dot, wait a moment until the scanner has completely locked on it (full yellow circle) and use F-key again, then you can start digging for the artifact. If no yellow dot appears walk around a bit, the range of the scanner is limited.

14. At the entrance of the mine there is a keypad where you are asked if you want to go to a different floor for 20 gols - ignore it for now. It is for resetting the mine after you cleared the ores and artifacts out.

15. Not all artifacts are near the surface - you can keep digging long tunnels underground - easy way out, when you get lost is using first M-key and then while you are on the map menu use E-key for exit then you are teleported back to the entrance.

16. Build a few storage boxes and leave everything you don't need back at home (keep only tools, weapons or stuff you want to eat or deliver).

17. If you run out of backpack space in a critical moment you can buy more instantly (if you have enough money at hand) just right click on a locked row in your backpack and below the inventory an option will appear to buy more space.

Thanks for all the advice!

You must save up a bit of everything. Even a small one like muccus, tree sap, resin even animal feces.
Because later in the game you need it.

ok thanks!

Always ALWAYS keep your furnaces (old and upgraded) and other machines running and loaded, it may seem like random things like glass, fabric, charcoal, and bricks are just stocking up, but you will need it all for future missions and commissions, so keep them fueled and running.
