Now, Steam has a builtin Windows-emulator... but only for Linux. However, the underlying software is "Wine", which also has various MacOS ports.. I think. Since you already have the game, you could just try one of these to see if the game works, and how well it works.
You would basically install the Windows-version of Steam into the emulator, and use that to download games.

(if the virtual maschine is crashing or the Game... your MAC is working fine ;) only the virtual things chrashing..) if then so... a very nice thing also for me for programming at old 486PC (or DOS 6.22) ...you know? :DDD
