Getting Ack after failed mission?

Hello community! Ive been playing MTAP for over 40 hours now and ove stumbled across a bog problem. I never failed a mission before, but i failed one: to put flowers on the grave for the roboter Ack. Now i didnt mind for a long time and then i found out that you need to fulfill this quest so he becomes your helper. I absolutely want to hire him, so is there another chance to get him to help you? Of not - is there an alternative helper i can hire? Id be SO bummed and pissed at myself (and a tiny bit at the game) if this was the only chance... :(

Some spouses will help around the house/workshop.
The Lonely Robot mission does not time out so I didn't think it was possible to fail that one. It's the requirement for him to become a helper so there's no alternative.

The Lonely Robot has no limit, but "Place the flowers" does.

Exactly! I thought i had a bit time for it and as i was on my way to place the flowers the mission failed...This really bums me out cause he would be a huge help. Cant believe they dont give you more options to hire him or restart the mission :( But thanks for the comment on spouses! I looked it up and there are some who actually help you. But i guess not the way the robot would have helped you.

Ack is the only one who seems to be able to replant planter boxes.

The spouses do pet the farm animals though, which Ack does not (as far as I know).

I also failed the flower mission but was later able to complete all Ack missions and hire him as a helper.Just continue playing and it should work out.

You did? I just completed the game (close to year 3 now) and could do another mission for him (build Lara) but nothing after that...i will continue with some more missions, maybe it will show up some day, but since the game is over now i dont even need him anymore haha...

After you built the Lara-model, you need to speak to him, while he admires it in your garden. May take a few attempts and high enough friendship levels, but then he'll offer to work for you.
(Good to know this still works after missing the quest with the flowers.)
