Tempering Liquid is too hard to obtain
This seems to be really hard to find, yet I need a lot of it to build the bridge, which would open up The Desert Ruins (apparently the only place to get it reliably). Why is it so hard to get this stuff? I've already failed one commission because I couldn't find it anywhere.

Have you started completing the Sewerage Plant Hazardous Ruins? Not only can you get some tempering liquid when you go through the ruins, but once you complete a level, you can commission the Civil Corps to go through and you should get tempering liquid as part of what you get from that (which is what I do when I need a lot of it in a hurry). You can also obtain it by completing Commerce Guild inspections - and sometimes you find it by looking for relics in Abandoned Ruins 2. Not sure which of these you've tried, but hopefully something will help.

@littleblackduck Yeah, I have gone through the first couple of levels. I should give that a try! I so rarely get any from mining AR2, it's hardly worth the effort when you need so much of it.

Yeah, mining is very variable. If you don't have time to go through the levels of hazardous ruins you've already been through, you can order the Civil Corps to do a run and you'll get some from that - I usually place 3 orders and then work on clearing any levels I haven't or do something else in between.

Yeah, mining is an option, but it's more random. I found the sewers to be more reliable.

Also, at some point, I started adding hazardous ruins to the list of things to do when I don't have anything to do, to make sure I have stuff when I need it.

You can get a few extra bottles by doing the inspection minigame on weekends, but your best bet really is byy giving the civil corps missions - you'll also get some extra valves out of that which you'll need for commissions in the future.

Else you can try to defeat some pincer imps in Ingalls Mine hazardous ruin yourself :/ drop rate of tempering liquid is maybe 30% from them though.

Give a comission for it at the civil corp and while you wait for them to complete it, farm one of the dungeon that give it as reward in the hazardous ruins. That's the fastest method imo.

And just saying - plant a few crystella trees in your yard ahead of time, for you'll need a ton of crystals and saphires for a mission at the end of the story and they need about 36 days to be harvestable.

Thanks for the tip! I'm at a point where I'm held up by my lack of T liquids but I'll remember that.
