Stone Furnace Not Working
When I went to check on my furnaces (have 4 Stone, 4 Civil & 1 Industrial furnace) one of my Stone furnaces showed I needed to refuel, but won't let me. The Button is grayed out and am unable to click it to add more fuel.

Is this a game glitch or is there a way to fix it? If not, can I ditch the defective furnace and make a new one?

Thanks

Sounds like you are out of wood.

P.S. Seems I can't make Glass, Charcoal, Copper or Stone Bricks, but I can still make Bronze Bars. Also tried to make new Stone Furnace and it still will not let me fuel it. Tried to make another Civil furnace as well and it won't let me refuel it either. And 'yes' I have more then plenty of every ingredient I need to make 100 items for crafting what I need.

Don't want to stop playing my game over this so any help on this will really be appreciated.

RAD-82, I have 999 wood and everything else I need in my inventory. I should be able to make anything until I run out of of anything.

Can you try exiting the game and try again?

If your game is bugged and verifying your files with Steam doesn't work, then you should take a screenshot while in the furnace menu. Select Charcoal so that it shows your wood to verify that you have the fuel needed for the refuel button.

I tried that, started the day all over again and still didn't work... wish it did :(
I'm going to try to post 3 screenshots of my problem, RAD-82 and hopefully they will help to explain my dilemma.

No Charcoal making, but here are the Screenshots of what I was crafting at the time of my gathering Bronze Bars and trying to refuel the furnaces to craft more.

This is a dumb temporary workaround I just thought of, but it might work.
Backup your save of your current day (in case you need to go back when the devs have an official fix) and then make a Fire Powered Generator (if you can) and see if you can refill that with power stones or a condensed power stone. If you can, make some conductive wooden/igneous flooring and connect the generator with the furnances (the floor tiles need to cover the entire floor spaces underneath the furnances and the generator) and see if that fixes your problem temporarily.

Also, another thing.. This might be dumb but put all the raw materials in your inventory and see if you can craft the stuff you couldn't.

Definitely a bug. It doesn't even say Wood: 0/20 with a wood icon by the refuel button, so I would say your furnace doesn't even know what kind of fuel it needs. If re-installing the game doesn't fix the problem, then you will need to report this problem over here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/666140/discussions/1/

They might need to examine your save file to find the problem since restarting the day doesn't fix it.

You can try starting a new character just to see if it also has the same problem.

Thanks Mystic, but I can't get some of those materials you mentioned just yet. I'll need to get a few other crafting gizmo's first before I can try your suggestion, but I will definitely look into those floors and hook things up together.

I just remembered too, this problem happened to me when I first started making things with my stone furnaces in the beginning of my game but something must have changed because the problem suddenly went away. Now it's back like a vengeance... and I just build my Blender today, now even that won't work or show what power source it uses. Waiting for the Cooking Set also, but not holding my breath that it will work properly either.

Ok, RAD-82, will do... but it sounds complicated though. I'm not sure how to back up my game, or where to find them. I do have a few backup I did just in case I needed to use them one day. Guess that 'one day' is now here. Hope I didn't break my game, I just love my new house and landscaping garden and outdoor patio. Sure don't think I have the energy to start a whole new game again IF I loose this one. It's hard for me to get so invested in my games and have to start all over again. And I was just beginning to save for the Coop and Stables too.

I'm just saying to make a test character to try out the furnace at the beginning of the game. You don't have to play it beyond that. It won't replace your current character.

That's good to know, thanks for informing me about this, RAD-82.

Good News!!!
I guess I didn't realize that when you suggested I go out of the game and then come back in again that would reset things right. Well, it seems I actually had to completely 'Exit' the game and then restart it again fresh. When I closed the game mid-day and then came back to restart it again, to my surprise ALL my furnaces were working perfectly! Even my new Blender works after I rebuild it.

Thanks to you guys for your patience and help. I'll probably be back again the next time I run into problems during my time in Portia :)
