Lol, I remember getting him to be my buddy so I can get the drill. After he gave it to me, I was like “Mint who?” for the rest of my playthrough.

“Hey, thanks for being so nice to me. Let’s get tea sometime.” “Nah, man, I got my drill. I’m good.”

Gale gives it to you after a certain part of the main quest. It’s pretty useless, though.

Yeah... I also passed the 10th and he gave me no money. This... might be a bug because I've reloaded the 10th a bunch.
