No more copper??
So where do we get copper now? I'm in the Abandoned Ruins #1 and all I get is sand, stone, dirt!
Help!

I searched the discussions looking for an explanation to no avail...

Copper is still there. The addition of the sand/dirt coloring just makes it harder to notice.

And of course right after I post this I find some. It's super rare now compared to how often it used to spawn! Took me almost a full stamina bar at lvl 20+ to hit one vein...

You can just buy copper ores from Mars, it ain't very expensive.

Hell no. Why buy it when you can get it for free. I go through way too much copper to be buying it, doubt Mars stocks as much as I use lol.

Thank you for posting an image to show the textures, @Vyxxi.

Sadly, I can't really tell the difference in game They're just too similar.

Sand is on the left, copper on the right.

I can imagine that this really sucks if you're color blind and can't immidiately notice the difference in the textures.

Yeah, this threw me at first till I noticed the different colors between the two.

It'd be nice if the color was a bit more distinct, but it's not a huge deal since you can tell them apart as is.

If you've mined a bunch out, you can pay 20 Gols at the terminal outside to go to a different "floor" and reset the ruins.

I am needing " Old Parts" and I got tons of sand more than those boxes this is crazy, and hardly any copper. You had to drill through sand to get to the old parts .

new to the game, drained all my stamina digging only got 1 copper, nice game. no info either on how to recover stamina. very nice game.
You can regain Stamina by eating a meal at the Knight's Table, eating foods that give Stamina, sitting in a massage chair (expensive but worth it, imo), sitting on benches, chairs, etc., or riding the bus. You can recover Stamina by sleeping for the night.

Pay attention to the color and texture of the rock in the mines. The rock that contains copper ore has a different look from the rocks that give sand and stone. You'll find it's easy to get copper once you learn to recognize the rock it comes from.
For me the S tier long term solution are dried apple slices which restore 10% of your max stamina. While you can find a few around town investing in some apple trees (i have 3) and drying racks will give you a pretty decent ongoing supply to keep you well charged.

The massage chair appears to be expensive, but, it pays dividends early in the game. It is well worth putting all effort into buying it in the first few days with or without lower prices. Smash rocks, make talismans, sell them - or buy worms, fish, sell them. (Sell everything possible to speed up the process). Once you have the chair you can work the mines, or fish, twice a day, if you wish, with a short sit in the chair (place outside for convenience) between sessions. Also, upgrade your pick and axe as quickly as you can.

(BTW, once you have the second tier pick, you ought to be able to make this on day one, but, at the very least, well before the end of the second day, you can get a significant amount of copper from the surface rocks scattered around the village.)
