Marriage and Dating- can i be married and date another person

I read in the my time at portia update, when they were devoloping the jealousy system, that you could be married and date others. I want more perks so i married gust, but when tried to give arlo the knot he seemed to have morals and said NO because I was married? The article said that if caught it would cause an unfortunate marriage, but i want to take the risk!
so has anyone been able to date while married?

It's not possible. Once you marry someone, all the rest will develop morals about this sort of thing. Polyamory is sadly not a thing in Portia. Even if you've been juggling four or five sweethearts/lovers/soulmates up until you got married, once you put a ring on it, the rest drop down to friends. Some are nicer about it than others. Gust is quite dramatic about it.

Well, seems like someone made a mod so you can marry and romance other characters. Though it might be kind of buggy and cause issues.
