Giant Pumpkin *Spoilers* (EDIT, please read anyone who got this achievement)

So when does the mission that Emily gives about growing the giant pumpkin start?
I wanna get the achievement for marrying Emily infront of the giant pumpkin, but its nearing the autumn festivle and I havent gotten any quest from her yet.

EDIT: Im kinda beyond upset at this point, so im offering $100 on any purchase on steam in exchange for info on how exactly to get this achievement. I'll only be giving the person $100 worth of games on steam IF they actually help me get the achievement. If you give me advice on how to get it, and I do get the achievement, you'll be getting whatever you want on steam up to $100. If you give me advice that doesnt work, and doesnt land me the achievement, you wont be getting the $100. If it turns out this is a bug that needs to be fixed by the devs, then again, no money.

The giant pumpkin quest should start some time after the first harvest festival - Emily will tell you after the festival that Mr Melon didn't win, so she wants to do research on giant vegetables.

Yeah I got that quest, and got her the seed, the thing is afterwards she told me she was gonna start growing it or whatever but I never heard back from her nor did I see any giant pumpkin growing anywhere.

Well that's it. From now on you'll sometimes have a quest pop up in the morning where she asks you to go fertilize the pumpkin. The pumpkin slowly grows next to her home and is huge by summer.
So either it's a bug that you don't have the repeatable fertilizer quest and no pumpkin in her yard, or maybe you didn't offer your help the first time she told you about it and forfeited that questline. Maybe the pumpkin isn't growing because you aren't fertilizing it? I don't know if your action is needed for it to grow.

Where can I even find the pumpkin? I think I offered to help, but I dont have a quest telling me to fertilize a pumpkin.
And, if for any reason the quest did bug out or I accidentally forfeited that quest, does this mean I have to start an entire new game to get this achievement?

The first time she talks about it, you have the choice to say "aww but I wanted us to grow it together", then she asks you to fertilize it. After that she regularly asks to do it again untill the harvest.

And yeah, I guess you have to start a new game

Lovely, so I have to start a whole new game, wait until the third month, do this dumb questline, fertilize it while waiting a whole year, all in all costing me at least 50 hours
yeah im starting to hate this game

Huh, because I ended up discovering I had a backup of when I was about to give the giant pumpkin seed to emily, and my only options were to say "it was 1,000 gols" or "dont worry about it"
if i say it was 1,000 gols, she gives me the money
if i say dont worry about it, she says shes going to prep the stuff but nothing ever happens after that

How long after her saying "im going to prep stuff" am I supposed to wait? When I give her the seed, am I supposed to have the option to say "aww but I wanted us to grow it together!"?

One last thing, when I gift her the seed it stays in my inventory and I cant gift it to her or anything
Idk if this is causing the bug or what, but no matter what I do it stays in my inventory after giving it to her and all she says is either "oh heres your 1,000 gols" or "ill start prepping the stuff"

I said "don't worry about it", but I doubt it changes anything except relationship points. Then I waited a few days for the next step, don't remember.

The seed staying in the inventory is normal, it's a bug, you can throw it afterwards

I will tell you my experience to get this achievement. When I started to play, right on year 1, I had this quest with Emily where I had to show her the Giant Seed and all. We fertilized it together and in the end she didn't even win. A while later I got married to Arlo, Emily never mentioned anything again. Fast forward to year 4, spring. I divorced Arlo and suddenly Emily had a new quest about a giant crop, "Princess Pumpkin". We were just friends, not in a relationship, but this quest did not pop while I was married. And then every week until Fall she would ask me to fertilize the pumpkin. On the week before the festival, I gave her the Heart Knot. Did the Sophie test on the following days. On the day right before the Festival, Emily asked me to come to the Festival with her. New quest started. Festival day, the day started at 9AM (when the Festival started too), cutscene triggered as soon as I entered the city walls. During the scene, she said she gave me the Giant Pumpkin. After it was over, Albert had a quest for me, about building the Pumpkin Room out of the giant pumpkin. Just follow that quest and you will get the achievement :) I did not even need a ring to propose

Well the problem I have is im not getting the option to fertilize it with her at all no matter how long I wait, on top of that the seed isnt disappearing out of my inventory after I "give" it to her. Idk if the seed part matters or not, but im assuming it does.

For me, they were different quests anyway, so the first didn't do anything. Is "Princess Pumpkin" the quest you have?
