Also you dont really need to kick, if you simply chop down the double-trunk trees you will always get few of them even without kicking, same with rubber, honey etc.
Usually only trees I actually kick are apple trees, rest is just lot simpler to chop down as fast as possible.
If you dont have upgraded axe yet that can cut double-trunk trees then nothing else to do but kick. You should upgrade your tools as fast as possible anyway.
I just have to build the water wheel. I have Iron everything. I thought I had read somewhere that kicking nets more? Maybe ill just keep cutting down trees. I do need the Ironwood.
Kicking gives you stuff before you cut down the tree but it`s time and stamina consuming, faster to just move down the trees and you get the rarer stuff like coccoons, rubber fruit, honey etc. anyway.
If you kick before cutting it wont increase the end result you get from cutting, you just get what fell down during kicking and it can take quite alot of kicks.
