The poisoned water - broken [SOLVED[

So, I ran out of stamina in the ruins you enter during the quest "the poisoned water" and had to reload the game.
However now when I visit WOW industries Sam isn't there and I don't get a prompt to fix the pipe and start the quest.
Does she only show up at a certain time of day? I did rush to get there, though when I arrived she wasn't there and the pipe was still broken.
Waited until 4:30 pm for her to show up (when the clock "froze" upon entering the ruin) but she never appeared.

Have restarted the game client, though worried I've permanently broken the quest there.

Will update if it fixes.

I actually feel extremely stupid now.
I was missing a single welding rod.
I guess I need my eyes tested.
This was a really embarrassing thread to make. I'll see if having that extra welding rod fixes things.
Hopefully if anything this should let other players know to check their inventory before making a fool of themselves on the forum; like I did.

Edit; yep, the second I got that extra welding rod the objective appeared on the map. Went there now (with a few stamina and health regent items, which I didn't have before) and surprise surprise Sam was there as usual.

I feel really dumb now, but I'll leave the thread up so others realize they may have missed an inventory count if they reloaded. Then googled this "problem"

Lol glad you found out what was wrong^^ I forget things when reloading too, there's so many small tasks everyday..

We all make silly mistakes 😁 this is how we learn.. or don't learn in my case, when I do the same dumb thing over, and over, and over...

Video games teach me nothing. 😭

Sam's there, it all worked out.
There's a really good forum community for My Time at Portia too.
I started playing this after playing one of the resident evil 2 (2019) paths (Leon A) and the forums there were very different.

Very little help to anyone from other players. If there was a problem with the (single player game) the answer was "well you cheated, didn't you" (as bugs only happen when someone cheats, right) or something just as unhelpful. There were some good community members though 75% were just there to troll people. I think a steam forum mod (not a game dev mod) had to start banhammering people there as it had gotten so out of hand.

I've found that MTAP has an excellent community. Thanks for the help, though the problem was entirely of my own creation.

I'll put "solved" in the thread title so any one who googles it and skin reads knows it isn't a bug, but user error.

Edit: This is even more embarrassing. Had I paid attention to my surroundings I would have noticed a BBQ that increases both health and stamina to full, just before the boss.
