So, about Ginger's condition
Is it just me or does any one else find it extremely amusing that she only goes out at night time and avoids daylight as if she could burst into flames in it?

Well I thought that at first, then amusement changed to concern when I entered her bedroom and noticed the two bottles of Bleach on the floor next to her kitty couch. Since then I started to think her 'illness' might be self inflicted...

Once I saw her walking in a down pour, during the day. No sun. Sounds like her condition is regarding to "people in proximity who isn't her brother".

It's a bit of a reach, but is her mother still around? I've only seen the mayor and Ginger's butler around.
If she was white ginger may have been having her skin bleached since birth if the mayor wanted to cover an 'embarrassing secret' up...

*arches a brow*

Gingers mother is dead. No spoilers. Her brother is Gust, who has no condition.

OOOO And Ginget showed up to her brother's and my joint birthday party .. on a sunny day with her umbrella hat on!

Headcanon: Pale, more or less nocturnal, dresses like it's the 1800's, and can't go out into direct sunlight without protection. Ginger's condition is vampirism. She's only weak because she is compassionate and refuses to feed on humans.

Ginger's mom died giving birth to her. Her brother deeply resented her for this for many years until she got 'sick' and now he dotes on her. Which puts a little extra weight to the idea she may have purposely made herself ill.

Instead of killing her, the devs should expose that to Gust .... it may infuriate him.

Everyone has made some good comments so far, but it’s not skin bleaching, nor is it vampirism. The REAL reason Ginger stays at home all day is because she’s addicted to playing Fortnite, eating Doritos, and chugging Mountain Dew. You don’t see this when you get there, but if you noclip outside of the walls and into the room with the red door by the fireplace, you can see her computer is on with a bunch of Monster cans strewn around the floor.

The only reason she goes out for walks at night is to keep her legs from atrophying.

I... honestly assumed she had Albinism. It never clicked for me that she wasn't *born* sick, seemed like that was just her life. I figured she avoided coming out in the sun because her skin and eyes are photosensitive to the point that bright sunlight physically hurts, which can be a reality for some cases. She forces her way through it for holidays with her little umbrella hat, but it's too painful day to day. The current era clearly didn't inherit advanced chemistry, just some of the more mechanical sciences, so she has no sunblock or anything to help her live a regular life.

Honestly going to *keep* that headcanon, since it explains her lifestyle perfectly well.

Her hair is red, not white, so albinism is out. But she could have something like that. Who knows what all happened in The Age Of Darkness to make kids like Ginger.

Nah you're thinking of Type 1. There's a few types of albinism, most don't result in white hair, just *lighter* hair. Red hair is *rare*, but not made impossible, especially with type 3 albinism. I guess we'd have to pin down her ethnicity to really say for sure, but with the world history in this game that's gonna be uh... that's gonna be a trial.
