Is it not possible to harvest grown crops out of season?

I have some bamboo papaya that finished growing at the end of Summer, but the clock passed midnight, and the only option is "Root Out". They say 0 days and 0:00 left on growth. The next morning they say "Wrong Season" on them.

In case of bamboo papayas, you unfortunately only can wait till next summer for them to finish growing, if you don't want to uproot them.
I suggest uprooting them anyway and planting something else. If you really desperately need any bamboo papayas, before the next summer, you can always collect some in the collapsed wasteland.
