How's your social stars/ hearts with other npcs?
You can always initiate a banquet; Again, read up on all it entails ~~ important to know ahead of time.
The more you're friends with her friends and your social hearts & stars are high. Emily should be triggered to ask for a banquet for your/ her birthday / anniversary.
If South Block is complete, that is, YeYe sells the invitations & banquet tables. Preparing food ahead of time is a good idea.
Don't forget to give Emily an invitation. Only give invitations to those with high stars/ hearts ~~ those are the npcs most likely to show up.
When I played, I made it a daily habit to interact with my spouse: chat/ gift / hugs/ etc.
Eventually, she will begin to include dialogue for things to do.
Once married, as you know, the interaction, gifts, ect., still need to be initiated by you, to get a reaction.
Have fun in Portia! Emily is such a dearheart.
