What can i put in the end of the year hotpot?
So the first year, i put 70 chilli peppers in it. I was afraid i would run out but paulie also had the same idea.

But this got me thinking: what else can i put in it? I was thinking meat next time around, but i also have a lot of poop. What happens when i put poop in the hot pot? can i put poop in it? Has anyone tried this?

only food, and only some food. meat (im including fish in meat), fruit, vegetable seems to be it.

Meat fish. Just food stuff.

Think main point is to put in what people ask for to gain reputation.

Or just fill it with peppers and watch everyone complain about it being too hot. About as fun as donating the hammer for day of Bright Sun, hoping a lucky townsfolk “ catches” it
Shoot, i thought there may be an easter egg here like in stardew valley. You can put the mayor's shorts in both the granger display and in the summer hot pot too.

As far as I can see, the event is useful to boost your like-ability by chucking in whatever a person would like to see at the time (icon above their head). so I have tended to load up with as many different foods as I have in storage and go, prepared to curry favour.
Beyond that? eating is supposed to give you a short term buff, but I can't see how you're going to use that buff in the marketplace, so ..... what the hey.
Oh, and it's a good opportunity to acquire some rare foods off Emily's stall (in case you need to cook some very special dishes at some point).

There is an achievement -- A True Hotpot - Keep the spiciness of the hotpot above 85 for 10 seconds during the Winter Solstice festival.

I got that one, but there are also hidden achievements too. I am wondering if one of those may be hot pot releated.

That one *is* a hidden achievement. You can see all achievements here:

click on "expand" for the hidden achievements category to see them all.
The one we've just discussed is the only one for hotpot under the current release.

I hope there are some more achievements coming, as those appear to be a little lopsided toward guy npcs proposing.

I do see a divorce achievement however, so Dangerously Funny will be happy to see that.

well, the nice thing about achievements is, once you get them one time, they stick. So you can accept a proposal and finish out the day, get married, whatever. Save at the end of the day. Then go back to the saved game just before the proposal and... don't accept. You can complete all the storylines that way without a lot of unhappy ex's trailing after you.

I misread them. Now i suspect that the achievements that i was looking at appear to be part of a side quest. I should be getting that side quest soon. I finished south block, so i am waiting for the next quests to trigger. I am not sure what those will be.

Do you want to know or would you rather be surprised? Or would you just like to know what materials you'll need?
