Tree Planting
Hello! Just had a little question for those who plant and grow crops! Specifically trees. I have had a bunch of them planted since early game as I know from experience during EA that once you get to a certain point it's a good idea to have a few of every tree raking in the crops for later. But it's proving to be a drain on fertiliser lol! So do they die if you don't fertilise them? I know that they don't produce a good harvest if they're on the red face when harvest comes around but I was thinking I might just stop fertilising them until later when I actually start needing what they produce. As each time I harvest I'm getting like 60+ of each crop and I have about 2 of each tree at the moment. So I'm currently sitting on over 300/400 of most of them, including Nitre and Zeolite which I haven't even needed at all yet... only just completed the Museum and halfway through the Portia Bridge quests!

Thanks!

I have about 100 trees

Fertilizer is imo a waste of time, minor increase for a MAJOR headache

Just swarm them with a ton of them and it does what it does

the chance to harvest saphires from crystal trees and aroma apples from apple trees increases though with fertilizer.
Maybe just put a few crystal and apple trees on irrigation flooring and let the others grow nomally.

I get 3 sapphires from my single crystal tree (I have most of the harvesting and luck perks; if not all of them). Aroma Apples I get with resource shipments after completing tree farm (I have no idea why)

Don't fertilize them. They don't need it.

You are able to find a lot of the tree mats in other ways. Mining gives a lot of them, Desert has sulphate, the 2nd lift rocks has Nitre, i believe, Crystal is not hard to find as map gets bigger, and Aroma Apples come daily from tree farm with the charmed perk. Get decent enough Sulphate and Nitre from old level 4 ruins, so I find trees are not that essential.

What are aroma apples for? I've been drying them for easy stamina food
