I married with Arlo and I decided to have a baby to test this new function.
here is what I think about...

baby is alike pets. feed, talk, that's all. No kiss,no hug,no change layers. Baby go to bed itself. stay alone at home.
Spouse looks baby same he's looks pets, thinks " what's this?" don't care,never.

what I think about this? babies and spouses options would be better in dlc, more thorough.
I think game is far to be finish!

Let's not forget that poor Arlo like the other NPCs can only do what we programmed them for. It is up to the dev to deepen their possibilities of actions, reactions and conversations. Everyone differently of course to keep their personal and unique character, it's work added for them (Dev)
That is why I would see more romance and children in DLC where they can be more worked and everyone will be able to choose what interests him. For the time being, the latest additions seem to me a little bit, to meet the demands, but with a huge potential to dig.
I also hope that the child is expected to grow up because I don't see myself giving him the bottle forever!

I agree with you, its sadly no deep feature right now. Really wish that the spouses would react to their children, that we can take them with us even when we are outside or interact with things. That we could make our own milk and that they would play with their toys.

Its just strange to see a few days old baby going around the house, getting into bed themselves and otherwise stay completely alone the whole day if you need to do stuff. It just feels quite unrealistic.

The same with the baby not growing up. I honestly dont find fun in having another "pet" going around that need their one food per day and maybe one talk and otherwise its just there.

Please expand on this feature devs :)
