ginger is very hard to raise rep. for she does not like gifts but says she would like to talk to people instead. so can we get more points for every time we talk to her making it easier and not so grindy to get rep with.

I totally agree! I find it really odd that they made her not like gifts as much, yet didn't increase her rep from talking and such... Makes it a pain to increase the relationship with her.

Ginger is not that hard to raise rep with, I married her on my main character.

After some main story missions you can tell her the story and get +20.
Make friends with Gale, Gust, Russo for bonus points with Ginger as you friend them.
Give her a loved gift on her birthday.
Keep an eye out for if she wants a special item.
Give her a loved gift on special event days for +5.
Go on play dates with her every week as soon as you can.

Yes she does take a bit longer still but it is not that hard.

I agree, it's quite annoying to raise her reputation and it would make sense to raise how many points talking gives to compensate.

To add to what the other person said, also participate in all the festivals for relationship boosts and once you get the South Block Trading Post you can start throwing parties. It seems like you can hold more than one party a week and I usually get about +23 with every person who accepted an invite (and an extra +2-4 when they accepted the invite). If they reject the invite you can try inviting them again the next day. I think the skill to boost "propose" success also helps.

she is a bit harder to rep but following the back story it all makes sense, just takes extra time as said in some of the above posts its just time consuming but not to hard.

Just beat the fishing competition and become friends with the rest of her family as you do so with her.

Slap Gust in the face once a day with those bacon fish rolls you won from the competition and he’ll be begging Ginger to keep you around.

I don't understand why she doesn't want to hear about your adventures after the second or third story you tell her. It seems after every major storyline event she should want to hear about it, not totally lose interest.

1st big event

“Wow, you built a bridge to Amber Island and fought off giant rats?”

2nd big event

“Wow, you built a lift to The Heights and fought off more giant rats?”

Every other big event

meh I only wanted two hearts with Ginger to get her mysterious gift. I'm in year 1 end of Month 2 and she's already a friend and I haven't really been "working" to earn rep with her so it's not really that hard. But then again Gust is a sliver away from BFF and Gail is only 1 heart away from BFF, still undecided who I want to marry but could be anyone of the town ladies as I have rep enough with them all to play date.
