We don't know exactly. If you are married to him, he sends you a letter in the mail saying he had to leave, but he hopes he will see you again. But the story is over (you get credits and all) and there is no word about what happened to him

In my theory-- I believe the reason he is no longer a part of the postgame/during the AI investigation, Aadit could possibly work for Duvos. If you watch his behavior during the day, you see him looking around the Abandoned Ruins and the Research Center. Therefore, he could be the Rouge Knight/spy that could of have notify the Rouge Knight in seek of the AI.

And if you want to know a bit support behind this theory: The Rouge Knight's model is named Aadit in the in-game files. Don't know why or how, it kind of came together as I understood why as I monitor Aadit during the days and why he ran back all the time to the Tree Farm.

I'm a few updates post discussion. But I am seeing comments on his departure. For me he left on his second birthday. I saw him walking out of town in the morning and by evening when i went to give him a git he was gone. I wish thee was more character development overall, but am happy to see the towns people asking about him.

I do hope they have a satisfying follow up to this given how big of a plot point it was. And if you married him, its like a relationship under false pretenses. The rogue knight's personality was a 180° of aggression compared to the Aadit we know

I've just found this thread and am interested if anyone has experienced this with Addit...

My character married him about 3 weeks ago and things were very nice, he had 'Full Devotion' for his new wife. Of course I was aware he would disappear one day and leave a note for her, but I didn't expect him to disappear on a day that he was following her about while she was filling commissions and spending some leisure time together.

What happened was, Mali showed up and asked her to go with her to Starlight Island to find the missing key for the computer and Addit actually came along while we cleared out the ruins of AI monsters. When Mali found what she was looking for we exited the place and headed back to the harbor... only thing is, Addit never came back from the island on the boat with us. I scouted Portia and examined every known part of the map for his marker dot to show up somewhere, but he just vanished. I'll have her go to sleep soon and hope this is a game glitch to see if the next day will find him back home again.

Has anyone had Addit disappear in this way? I didn't think it wouldn't be such a sudden thing like this, not ready to have him leave just yet.

Jay, yes. The suddenness and not showing on the map happened like that with me. However, he did it on his birthday / holiday. I saw him leaving the enterence of town as I entered. Did the holiday stuff, then went looking for him to give his gifts. Poof.
