Changing face/skin?
Thought the barber might do it but nah, is there anyway to do it without a new character?

I don't think there is any ingame way to completely redo our character customisation. As you found out the barber only allows changing of hairstyles, but then again it is a barber not a platic surgeon ;)

Now there is an idea to add to the clinic for facial reshaping, and a beauty salon to change the skin tan color.

I really hope there would be a possibility for that, since I started at the beginning, so I never had any choice with the face. It was what it was. :D And now that i've played 200 hours, I really don't feel like starting the game again just to change the face.

BUMP. Dev should look into having this function by now.

I second (or third) it! My skin shade was to be a nice warm tan but in the game it looks like a dirty light taupe. Would love to have a make-over facial.

Hello,Sierra, actually we are considering the function of changing faces but I am not certain about if it will come out because of some difficult matters here we have to address.
I'd like to change the skintone too tbh, looks ok during daytime but when night comes, that's when i unleash my inner zombie it seems lmao.
Love the game tho so I can live with it if it doesn't change!!

@AaronDeng Please, PLEASE add a way to change skin color into the game (presumably just add it to the customizations in the barber shop). I made my character dark green on a whim, and then got really into the game, but am stuck with a green character and it sucks. Thank you for considering this!

Would be nice, annoying to restart over because you got bored of your characters looks such as skin tone.

I had to redo my hair colour so much, in the shop it looked like the shade I wanted yet outside or even waking up in bed it would be off tint and would annoy me.

So easy for people wanting a skin change

Yeah my character ended up looking too green compared to the other people so I had to scrap that playthrough.

Just like to chime in here that I would like to see this implemented in the game. Just recently, after the 8/7/2019 update, my character's lips/mouth has completely changed from what it has been for 200+ hours of gameplay -- from relatively thin lips to big/pronounced lips.

And I have a bad feeling that maybe my issue is unique which means the only way I can revert my character back to how he was I would need to be able to get back to the character creator screen somewhere.

As someone has already mentioned, I'm so far into the game with this character, I'm not really in the mood to restart for what seems like a simple glitch. Yet, since taking photos with your character in them is a pretty big highlight to the game, my character's current lips/mouth problem really bothers me.

This is definitely needed and should have been part of the options in the barber shop.

I tried to make my character appear a bit darker than the default and in the creator he looked fine but during gameplay the lighting turns him into some green zombie looking guy and that is hugely disappointing.

There are also other things like desire to add a tanned shade during summer seasons. I see the developers posted they are having difficulties around implementing, I hope they find a solution soon.

We need this reaaally bad, I hope they still do updates that aren't DLC

From what i've seen in many screenshots from reddit and here, compared to NPCs' radiant skin, main character's skin always appears anemic regardless of the chosen skin color especially in the evening.

Just a little tip I've figured out: when making a character, pay attention to the character's reflection in the mirror behind them. It shows how they will actually look in-game, including skin and hair.

I've had to sacrifice far too many Builders before figuring that out, so I would definitely love an option to change skin tones in the barber shop since we can already change the hair!
