Faster Crafting?
Hi all been playing this game for a few days and I am at the point of running some industrial furnaces and even some industrial cutters but it feels like it takes FOREVER to create stuff. Is there a reason the upgraded versions of machines don't craft faster and only increase the amount you can craft, for how long, and add new things to craft? I'd of thought a faster crafting speed would be a big reason to get better versions but it feels like it still takes a life time even to craft something as simple as copper bars.

Build a bunch of them. It'll be tough to keep them fueled up with wood until you get hardwood coming in or the daily wood shipments. I have 12 running nonstop but I also have tens of thousands of wood at the ready. Be careful as you can easily optimize the fun right out of the game by having tons upon tons of things going that you (and your helper(s) you may have)
are tending to so it feels like such a grind every day.

yeah, full factory, 120ish trees, 100 small platers, 60 forges, 10 cutters + 5 advanced, 10 grinders + 5 advanced, 10 elec furnaces, 10 skinners, a ton of generators, a handful of drying racks, horses, barnyard animals and coop animals.

More the merrier

I should probably note that I don't have the factory yet so I am doing it manually with a whackpile of various crafting equipment. If you are far enough to have the factory, check various threads or that online wiki thing for the best ways to mess with that. A pile of furnaces, a bunch of cutters, a few grinders and skivers, a bunch of blenders... I spend a ton of time mining and as a result I also have a bunch of power stones... but you can also buy 10 a day from total tools if you really need them. If you really need a whole bunch of one type of bar, it's faster to have several furnaces working on the same ones instead of making one furnace churn out 50. 5 furnaces will output 10 bars each WAY faster than one working on a load of 50.

Ah I see, so the only way to make things faster is to just have a lot of machines running. I only have the 2nd upgrades for the house and assembly station and barely have room to fit everything, guess I got a ways to go haha
