Best food for animals?

What do you guys feed your animals in your shed/coop/stable? I've been using wheat because it's easy but I wanted some pointers on it.

Chickens, cows, and sheeps can feed anything from fibers, snakeberries, etc. Horse for it to be happy wheat. Llama likes rice.
