How to feed the fish?

I had the fish take with fish in them but i still dont know how to feed the fish i did try to go by it to feed them but nothing comes up and what do you feed the fish as well?

From the wiki; Fish can be placed in the fish display and fed dough or Bug Eggs. Fish will not breed if fed the wrong kind of food or if not fed enough. For breeding, each fish requires being fed once per day. A maximum of 15 fish can be placed in the Large Fish Tank at one time.

so just go up to the tank and press e to feed them, don't know if you need to feed them 1 dough per fish though..

I can offer that it may take 3 bug eggs per large carnivorous fish per day to get them to breed, if they do - I tried with 2 bug eggs each fish, per day, for a year in game and no babies :/ (this was through several builds though, and may've affected?)
