Martial arts tournament thoughts

I got all my bets right but two, AND I won. Total prizes? 58 badges. At that rate I'll have to play this for another two years to earn the full outfit. Haven't reached the riding event yet, but the fishing got me enough badges to buy everything.

Did I make a mistake?

Sidenote: Carol won one round against Paulie. Unexpected.

Also, I still think the assorted badges (five different ones by now, I think) should go outside of the inventory. Right now they are only taking up precious slots.

Paulie is a wuss. In my first tournament he was beaten badly by Russo.

Russo is strong :)

Try fight him normally and you know, or even fight Ginger, you'll get to fight him on the 2nd round.

At level 51, Russo is one of the strongest although I beat him in the last round of the tournament being way over his level.

@XBL Laberbacke, reset your skills and maximise the custom discount. It will enable you to exchange at half the tokens needed. I got all bets right and ended up with only 64 badges. I was after the full outfit and some of that lovely furniture. Hope this helps.

Yeah once you're past a certain point, with the right equipment and levels. The NPC don't put up much of a fight.

True, one would need up to about 105 badges to buy everything at half the amount of badges for this tournament however; since you referred to not being able to get a full outfit I assumed you meant clothing (Bandana and the Fung Fu San and Ku) - which would be exactly 58 instead of 115 badges) hence the above advice. I just settled for the full outfit and some of the furniture.
