Fast way to level up?
Was wondering what are some tips to level up faster? I want to get to 40 so I can wear the lv 40 outfit :)
Should I just spam Ingall #3? Or are there other faster ways?
Commissions unfortunately are limited to 1 a day, and main quests sometimes I have to wait a few days for the next one :/

Kick trees.

IIRC Kicking trees is the correct answer for exp to sp use growth

make sure to have the exp bonus selected

Mining with a pickaxe is the next best leveling option
Chopping wood with a max horse is the third best

Just in terms of sheer exp gain

Befriend Mint, aka give him roses bouquets from alice's flower shop daily, untill he mail you the drill. During that time kick trees and dry apples on the drying racks, loads of apples.

Once you got the drill and your stockpile of dryed apples, just go to any AR and drill your level to 40 and beyond. You can also respec your skills to get the exp bonus from combat trees to make it faster, but it 's overkill.

Drill is actually about 7th in terms of exp gain

not only is it about 10x less efficient SP to EXP vs regular mining it is time wise only a quarter as good as pick mining

This is because not every tick of the drill gives exp

Haven't looked at numbers in a while so its possible they changed, did the vast majority of my 6x level (max points + a few levels) from mining. The drill is much slower, and I got more exp per kick of an apple tree than per pick of the mine
The downtime between finding a tree to kick is slower than just hitting everythign in sight with a pickaxe. Dunno if it makes a difference.

well for the drill is not about rate between exp and stamina. It's the rate between exp and time. You just need to stand in place and randomly move your mouse around while holding the left mouse button. It's really stamina expensive but well, just see it as a way to turn stamina-healing item into exp-giving items...

And of course as stated above, what you get from drilling ruins also give opportunities for stamina free exp when you bulk craft stuff out of it... so all in all, it even the high stamina cost of drilling a bit.

No the drill gives less exp per stamina and less exp per unit of time than pick mining

Didn't take into account the added benefit from getting exp from crafting now, so drill vs stone might pay more than mining vs stone

What makes me favor the pickaxe is the fact that, in the same time, it consumes only 1 sp bar, while the drill consumes 4 sp bars. It seems, imo, a waste of sp restoring food for only 2,520 extra exp.

The drill, while considerably faster, only gives 5600 exp per sp bar. All in all, there is no actual advantage with the pickaxe considering the rate exp and time. Actually, if we take the stools out of the picture, let’s say we decide to mine ore for our furnaces, the drill gives in the same time, less exp than the pickaxe while consuming 3 more bars of sp (25,200 exp with the pickaxe and 22,400 exp with the drill).
The Pickaxe is much better if you don't have tonnes of stamina restoration, I prefer the drill because I always have stamina items stockpiled.
You get experience from smelting ores so the section on mining ores isn't applicable.

Whether the slight increase in overall experience is worth the extra stamina cost is going to vary from person to person.
Oh and you forgot one crucial thing, Grinding Stones. The experience you gain from stone should be doubled.

I wasn't aware that smelting was giving exp. Do you know how much?

Although, this changes nothing regarding the tools by themselves (taking the other factors out of the picture) the pickaxe gives more exp than the drill, consuming less sp. The choice here depends on each player's preferences. The drill gives slightly more exp but requires a lot of sp regen items (for leveling only we will have to refill the sp bar at least 7 times/day) and less money. The pickaxe consumes less sp regen (2-3 refils/day) and gives slightly more money.
I would argue that the resources gained from the use of a tool are part of the experience that the tool provides, but that's because I always smelt resources and don't just sell ores outright.
The experience for smelting is 10 per item, same as crafting so every 3 ores gives 10 experience.

I have fruit salad on my hotbar so when I'm moving to get to more ore or stone I'm eating without wasting time. This way I don't actually have to stop to refill stamina as eating takes almost no time and the swap between drill/food is habitual. Stopping to eat may be marginally more efficient but I also value flow and player inconvenience.

And you get exp when you craft with stuff at your work bench so it all adds up.

QoL + spare your mouse lifespan

Drill : Hold left mouse button pressed

Pickaxe : clic, clic, clic, clic, .... gets old quick

I wish there was something similar for combats... clic ! clic ! clic ! clic !!!!
