What to feed your mount?

So if you decide that you want to get your mount to have a green colored "Very Happy Face", not that I have been able to identify any positive effect from the happy face other than my own internal "warm fuzzy." I just feel like that's what I should strive for in any case. The horse seems fine with wheat and lettuce, and being that the Colorful Llama used lettuce and cummin for bait it was pretty quick to come up with feeding them both lettuce on the regular and keeping them at the "Very Happy" state.

Now that I've tamed a Cotton Llama I can't say I've come across any food that I can put in the stable that keeps all 3 happy. The Cotton Llama hates apples, Aroma Apples, Lettuce, Wheat, and Appricots. Not sure where else to start looking for a food that all three of those different types of mounts would like. Has anyone had any luck finding a food the Cotton Llama likes or even a type of feed that all the Stable Animals will like?

So far my horse and normal llama love just cumin. I don't have the bigger llama though but perhaps it too would like that?

Edit: While we're on the topic, where do you get Golden Ginseng?

When you feed them in the stable, just feed them whatever you have, apricots, lettuce, etc... the food isn't what gives them loyalty #s. Training & petting them does. (only have to pet them once a day once you have their loyalty filled up). They'll eat whatever you have in the stable when you press E.

@polterchrist, you can get the Golden Ginseng at Yeye's store in the Southblock Motel. Good to know that Cummin is another option. I'll try that and see if all three like it or not.

@JMeJ Yeah, I know that right now the food type has ZERO practical effects in the game for mounts, and I've had no issues getting and keeping their loyalty maxed. I just personally would like to get the bright, green "Very Happy" faces for their mood if I can. It just feels like that's what I "should" do, rather than that's what I "have" to do.

Seems like the cotton llama inst fully happy with anything at all, it seems to like some stuff better than others , but it ll eventually drop its mood back to neutral unless u pet it every 3 days or so. Do as i do, just pretend they have unlimited food in the stable and never feed them at all, they ll always be with a happy face if u dont feed them , if they got upset by anything u already fed, petting ll make them happy again in 2-3 days.

Hi i found out today white horses love Wheat OWO !! my white horse at least loves hit.

it was on a grumpy face.. i only really had alot of wheat and 7 lettuce didnt do it for me the other day. i feed it 2 wheat shot up from 0 % - 100% and is green smiley OAO !!! good pony

I only feed my (white) horse rice, so far so good. I haven't bothered with the llamas because reasons though.

@voxaxe well that should prove good synergy for the white and Brown horses. I know I fed my brown horse wheat previously and got the "Very Happy" green face from it. I know I transitioned away from that as a primary food stock for my mounts since the Colorful Llama was having none of it and got quite unhappy as I recall. Lettuce was my sollution to keep the two of them happy and it turns out that they both like the cumin that you can buy from Sophie's store.

Can't Say I've tried rice for the trio yet, that may yet prove to be a solution.

Probably apricots or potatoes but specifically I'm not sure. They eat whatever I threw in the helper chest that Ack gave them.

No, both the colorful llama as well as the regular horse loathe the apricots, unfortunately. Because I have some thousands of those.
So far I had been feeding lettuce but cotton lama dislikes it.

my white horse doesnt like lettuce it is very -.- face with me about it.

i now have a white cotton llama.... it hates everything T..T
i have tried almost every food i can think of except - cinnamon and apricots. but i have netier of those.. i am growing pumpkins to see if he will like those to.

but ... yeah he is angry with me for feeding him everything else. so i dont know what else to do here.
tried, apples, aroma, chilli, lettuce, potato, cumin, corriander, snake berries, the yellow berries [forgot name], fiber, honey [yup fiber lol], wheat ...
and you cant feed him that expencive thing you need to lure them with so i am like GAH what you want fella !!

yea but what does loyalty do ? does it have any gameplay effect?

I do not feed the mounts at all, petting them every day got them up to, and keeps them at 100% loyalty for me.
