Where else to get iron wood?

I know cutting down large trees (though the drop rate is ridiculous...I've cut down like 12 and have only gotten 4 logs) and from the tree farm (which I can't finish saving because the only way to the valves is from the hazardous ruins chests (which I have visited multiple times and cleared levels 1 and 2 but still only have 3)...so where else can I get iron wood? I need it to help finish saving the tree farm (which is interesting that I can get it AFTER I finish saving the tree farm). Any help?

Idk why so much people having Problems with ironwood.
10 ironwood per day in early game is no problem.
Cutting large trees is the only way to get it but there are so many trees around your workshop, its rlly no prob.
I cleared hazardous #1 20 times and 18 of them i got 2 valves.

Once you do the tree farm quests, you get free ironwood, hardwood and regular wood daily.

Chop the large trees for ironwood. Make sure to chop the stumps as well. In a round of chopping trees I have more than enough. I feed them to my generstors to power my machines.

I've just saved all iron wood I ever got and I have so many now lol

Didn't realize I could also chop the stumps of trees. Doing that significantly increased the rate of iron wood I received.
