Ugly Men and Hot women

Why are all the dudes so ugly (except Dr. Hu and Arlo). Like Django is especially ugly.
I'm honestly thinking on dating a woman in this game because they are heaps better looking than the men.

Yeah, there def needs to be more diversity. When I played the demo I actually got some people confused. XD like three people look like this girl and one's a man. LOL

Haven't taken Aadit out yet, he seems to be a country boy. My actual type is probably McDonald and I think Russo has hidden depths. If the next major update breaks my save and I have to start over AGAIN, I will probably date Django or go for a wild card like Siwa.

Aadit is calm, friendly and modest, he likes his job and his boss. Having seen a lot of fighting and warfare in his life before getting to Portia, he just wants a peaceful place to settle down.

Personality wise I really like Aadit. I married him in my main file and my biggest regret is that I did it before they added more writing for him. I have no problem making a new file to romance him all over again tho

I like how everyone is saying looks are subjective, but we don't have equally different looking female romance options. Looks are subjective for men, but not for women apparently.

Personally I would love to take a thicc girl. All the girls have the same general body type, which is beautiful, but i prefer thicc girls too.

That's one of the main reasons why I made my new character - to befriend and marry him again ;-)
But it seems as if there hasn't been any more writing for him at the moment. Still the same dialogue, no perks, no cutscenes ... but I just got him at 3 hearts, so hopefully there will be something new later.

I changed my mind and moved Remi to the top of the list. He's so cute when he smiles on his birthday and if I marry him he won't have to sleep on the floor anymore.

Ooh, you stole Dr. Xu? I remember the first time I saw Antoine hiding behind a tree, watching Xu sitting on a bench. I might try Aadit, Alice, or Django after I play the dating game for a bit.

It would be nice if there was a wider variety of types on the female side, definitely. I'd just like to have a character have a choice of a Brienne of Tarth-type. :)

There's certainly a varied response to your neighbors in this game. Growing up in hippie era, Aadit fits my 'hippie' taste. Django has the most interesting character to me, his knights thing is wonderful! As a gay woman I tend to gravitate to Petra (watch her walk) or Emily (truly a help mate). It seems to me that my real life preferences are very apparent in the interactions I have in this game. I think that ads a lot of interest for me.

In real life, I'm someone who cares about personality above looks. And for a time as a gamer I was the same way. Until I realized the extreme unbalance female's receive in comprehension to male players.

People will give you all kinds of answers regarding this. But all it is, is a game is geared towards men first and foremost, because they have been the buyers for a long time and the gaming industry understands them, they also are the most demanding as in if you screw up they will come at you in hordes.

WOMEN on the other hand as you can easily see from this comment section tend to make excuses/exceptions galore in order to brush off the issue. Thus no changes are made and we continue to get perfect women models and male characters who are rock bottom in desirability.

And that's the reason in a nutshell. I saw a male comment in here complaining about 'perfect' women and how they are boring, but he's either A: a troll or B: the minority of the male population. I say this because a quick google search of the extremely tiny amount of 'unattractive' women who you can marry results in endless comments of men RAGING about said females being atrocious and that they are pissed off she's even allowed to be marriageable.

There is a lot of I like about Portia. But I was left rolling my eyes when I saw that this was yet again another game where the men get all their hot babes and girls get old, fat, and ugly male as their options. IN a perfect world, I'd love for it to be equal for every old or ugly or fat man, the male players get the same. Especially because I do agree that seeing the same body type for every female in existence is so disappointing because gaming gives such CREATIVE opportunities.

Maybe it will change way in the future, but not until girls start making more of a fuss, and more guys ACTUALLY want their females to have diversity.
