Rusted pipe

The pipe is a requirement to fix Lara, however, after hours of fishing and farming the hazardous ruins, I have not found one. Is this a very rare drop or am I looking in the wrong places? I have seen a few posts elsewhere indicating others are also having trouble finding this pipe. Thanks in advance for any answers.

It is a semi rare find from fishing. Last time I went fishing I got 4 of them. Just keep fishing you will get them.

I have got several in the ruins..when you dig far enough and hit what looks like a structure (must have a health bar showing) hit this till destroyed. I think i got 4 once and 2 the time i found one. I usually run out of time though so i mark it on my map b4 passing out lol

Wait a second. Lara in the game? Where? Do i need to be a friend with Ack?

Thank you! Your answers are very helpful. I will keep fishing and had no idea you could hit the actual structures when digging deep in the ruins(I kept digging around them instead). Yes, you do need to talk to Ack a few times. Once he sets up his grill next to the Commerce building, bring him a power stone or old parts everyday for a week or so and he'll eventually give you the quest to build a replica of his friend Lara.

You're probably better off giving him Iron Pans if you want to become friend with Ack.

5 iron bars a day is a lot to spend on one robot.

Really? Since a single day in the mine easily got me enough ore for 200 iron bars, I didn't think it was that much. Also, Old Parts are harder to come by, so I'd much rather spend 5 iron bars than one of those.

Different strokes, I guess. Every run in the Hazardous Ruins gives me ~10 Old Parts that I really only need for the occasional Water Engine commission, and I tend to go there pretty often. Iron ore, while plentiful, I have to devote to a lot of expensive projects (Steel Plates and Copper Coils for my Generators, chiefly), and even with about 20 Industrial Furnaces going at a time, the bars take such a long time it's not easy to stay ahead while also smelting copper bars to turn into wire, since I'm pretty much trying to pave my entire workshop at this point.

You should probably also make some Wall Lights with these Old Parts. Lee and Paulie really love that.

Also, yeah. I tend to hoard anything that I think is rare, even if it doen't have any use I can see.

Believe me, I'm a hoarder too. I still have Gust's Desk Lamp that he refused to take back.

I believe this was ruins 1 pretty far down, i have seen more than just this one though. One i broke led me to a room of rooms with chests, good luck!

Wow! So, are you breaking the pipes down there to get them, or just regular digging? I think the game just knows I need one so it's like 'NOPE', lol

just broke it away once i saw the health bar with the pickaxe. if i was hitting it w/o the bar showing it didn't seem to be damaging it. i got some other cool loot as well just can't remember atm. if i find another, i'll let u know what treasures behold lol
