Which is the best weapon to use?

i made the axe on workstation 3 since it had the highest attack power.....but now i feel like it is slower then my lower level sword and took longer to kill boss. So now im not sure which is the best one to use? i would have to make that sword again?

Swords are always better because they attack so much faster, ignore the attack stats.

Thanks.! wish they would have had the axes full stats listed. Because i think i will have to remake the sword again.

I could be wrong, but I think the attack rating on the axe/pick relates to damage against the resource.
So when you upgrade the tool the attack goes up and it either allows access to new resource or it takes less hits.

The attack rating on the axe added to my player attack stats. But its speed is too slow. So not worth using as a weapon.

No the attack is legit for combat its just its DPS is so low becuase it takes so long to swing like i can get hit swinging it and get inturpted making it a iffy combat weapon. But if it hits it does hurt more then the swords I can make just it slower to use so less damage a second output overall

It would work ok against something that you're only going to take a swing at before dodging away again.

For slaughtering creatures the faster weapon is much better.

Back when I was cheap, i slaughtered Llama with axe while feeling horrible at the same time cuz they are so cute. I didnt even roll dodge just hit and run. Also I didnt even pay or craft sword. Got it from the festival drop. Yup, cheap. Lol.
